Markakis calls out team
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis is known as being a quiet, professional player who does his talking on the field.
Fed up with all of the losing, Markakis broke his silence and lashed out to the media about his frustrations.
Among the biggest complaint, the outfielder feels that too many players are going up to the plate without any plan of attack.
The team has been horrific with runners in scoring position, and Markakis believes a bunch of players need to be more selective and do what’s best for the O’s.
He also defended hitting coach Terry Crowley, saying he has absolutely nothing to do with the team’s offensive struggles.
