Roberts still weeks away
Baltimore Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts is still at least a couple of weeks away from returning to the team.
The second baseman still has not yet been cleared by doctors to begin resuming baseball activities.
Until that happens, Roberts is essentially stuck on the bench with no end in sight, which is not good news for the team’s struggling offense.
The Orioles want to take the most cautious approach with Roberts so that this isn’t a recurring problem the rest of the season.
Once Roberts can begin baseball activities, he will then have to play several games in the minor leagues as part of a rehab assignment.
